We strive to supply you with market-sustainable products. That's why we buy under Organic, Rainforest Alliance and RSPO certification. We prefer to work with suppliers who are socially responsible. That is why Stolp is affiliated with Amfori BSC and Sedex.
We work with Tosca (formerly known as Contraload) pooled re-usable pallets.
Stolp has drawn up its own Code of Conduct for its suppliers. This contains the minimum basic conditions that a supplier must meet in the field of social accountability and towards people, animals and the environment.
If we work well with all the parties we deal with, things will work out better. We strive for transparent, responsible and sustainable business operations together with and also towards our members, customers and suppliers. As Beko companies, we have an impact on our environment. We are well aware of that. Beko feels the responsibility to do something for the world around us and to contribute to a sustainable society. That is why we are increasingly focusing on environmentally-friendly packaging, purchasing raw materials and machines from parties with demonstrably socially responsible production processes and devoting care and attention to our employees. Where we can, we work on sustainable choices for people, the environment and the economy.

Our code of conduct
Sustainability is an important concept within all Beko companies. With this relatively broad term, we indicate the balance between people (People), environment (Planet) and economy (Profit). We believe that we can improve the balance between those three P’s and thus make the impact of our actions less of a burden for the next generations. If we work well with all the parties we deal with, things will work out better. We strive for transparent, responsible and sustainable business operations together with and also towards our members, customers and suppliers. Where we can, we work on sustainable choices for people, the environment and the economy.
This code of conduct is based on our human rights policy and the internationally recognized guidelines on which our policy is based. References include the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labor Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Rights at Work, the UN Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights, the Global Compact Principles of the UN and OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. In addition, we follow the principles of 26000, an international ISO standard that focuses on corporate social responsibility. Stolp International B.V. is a member of Amfori BSC, is Rainforest- Alliance certified for hazelnuts and is EU-Organic certified for part of its product range.
At a minimum, suppliers are expected to acknowledge the Amfori code of conduct and Stolp’s responsible purchasing principles and strive to conduct responsible business, and to identify, prevent, mitigate, account for and remediate adverse human rights, as well as environmental impacts in their supply chains. The Amfori code of conduct needs to be signed by suppliers as part of our contracts from 2023 and on. Where suppliers have comparable systems in place (like Sedex/Smeta, SA8000), this may also be acknowledged by Stolp International B.V. as sufficient.
Agreeing to the code of conduct means complying with Stolp’s responsible purchasing principles that are embedded in the standards that Stolp International B.V. and Beko companies set for production chains. The following themes need to be at least guaranteed:
- Social management system and cascade effect
- Workers’ involvement and protection
- The right of freedom of association and collective bargaining
- No discrimination, violence or harassment
- Fair remuneration
- Decent working hours
- Occupational health and safety
- No child labour
- Special protection for young workers
- No precarious employment
- No bonded, forced labour or human trafficking
- Protection of the environment
- Ethical business behaviour
- Compliance with international standards and national legislation
- Ethical business conduct and anti-bribery
- Community and land rights
- Animal welfare
Stolp International’s (potential) suppliers agree to the responsible purchasing principles as part of our contract. Stolp needs proof that the supplier and its supply chain comply with these principles, in the form of audit reports, certificates and/or other data or evidence.
If audit evidence according to the list of accepted third-party standards is not available for certain manufacturing sites, or the audits do not cover all potential issues identified by Stolp, suppliers must provide data by other means, in accordance with Stolp’s requirements.
Stolp International B.V. is committed to preventing and minimizing any negative impact from our supply chain or our products. We invite our suppliers to help us achieve this through transparency and proof of compliance and by alerting us to issues and negative impacts. Adhering to the principles of this code of conduct can be difficult and complex. That is why we support our suppliers in understanding the requirements and in implementing the necessary procedures and policies.
If suppliers within their production chain are confronted with non-conformities and, in particular, with root causes that are difficult to resolve or improve, they are expected to contact Stolp International B.V. to discuss a plan of action, in consultation.
